I have never been so grateful for a weekend as a parent as I am for this one! We are still adjusting to a school schedule and I’m exhausted, the kids are exhausted and we need a day or two of nothing on the schedule.

Music: Elska: Middle of Nowhere Kid’s CD Review I tried to watch the music video for one of the songs from this album and it was lost on me. But OWTK’s writer Jeff has some musical insight about this album that may help me give it another try.
Literature: Kid Lit Gets Silly With The 90-Second Newbery Contest If you’re feeling ambitious and creative, you can enter this contest where you make a video with your kids recapping the plot of a Newbery winning book. Not feeling that ambitious? Neither am I but the videos they have on the blog of previous entrants were worth a watch.

Art: Family Art Night A great way to spend your Friday evening and unwind from a busy week. But if you’re little ones are anything like mine, you probably get out the art supplies and create on a daily basis. I really liked the quotes she used in the post about creativity.
Inspirational: When you lose sight….LOOK I love how Cocoa can take ordinary life lessons and make them magical. This one is really sweet.
