Yes, Mindy. It was the bugs. We couldn’t find a single one. We even turned over leaves and kicked rocks It was just too cold for them to be out.

And it did a great job of keeping them interested in the walk. It wasn’t terribly long, but they would have lost interest much sooner (I know because I’ve walked it with them before!) so the list and the hunt were great motivators.

Great idea to get out of the house and challenge them to look around more closely!
