After Brent’s basketball game one evening a few weeks ago, we saw this frog right outside the door. We cornered it and pet it, took a picture and left it to itself. It was very compliant and adorable, you know, for a frog.

We’re linked up with Wordless Wednesday at 5 Minutes for Mom and Seven Clown Circus.

  • Pam:

Frog encounters are always the best ones!

  • I love frogs. Always have, always will…

  • Love your blog name! I bet your kids were pumped about your visitor. My husband would have been. He loves stuff like that; me–not so much.

  • Okay, I hate animals. Haha. Frogs, birds, pretty much anything. Yuck. I am such a “city girl”!

    Happy WW!

  • Frog or toad? Either it’s a great snapshot. They move so quickly. Stopping by from 5 min for mom’s wordless.
    Cheers!

  • No kisses involved?

  • haha!!
@janelle–that’s exactly what I was about to comment!!
    yeah, but did’ja kiss it???

  • @ Janelle and googiemomma: I didn’t even think about kisses! Another missed opportunity…

@Rebecca: Could be a toad. I’d have to look into that. I’m not up to snuff on my toad/frog distinctions!

@ Pam and Amber: Frogs are great and the encounter was fun for us all.

@ Jennifer: It’s brave to admit you hate animals! Bravo for the confidence to express that :) I’m a city girl, too. Not a fan of birds waking my children up with the rise of the sun, but here in Tennessee, they are beautiful to look at.

@ Frugal homemaking: Thanks! The girls were a bit leery. I did convince Sammi to touch it, but Elli hid behind Brent (who didn’t bother to get down and say hi!)
