The holidays are over and it’s still winter! Now that the novelty of snow and cold weather has worn off, what are we going to do to survive the next few months of winter? Why, celebrate, of course! I came up with the idea for Winter Wonderland from a Care Bears book I bought Sammi at the grocery store. The last story in the book is Winter Wonderland where all the Care Bears get together to celebrate the first snow.
We’ve already had our first snow, and second and third and a few while we were away for the holidays, but we can still celebrate the joys of this season with the enthusiasm of those Care Bears. They had singing, games and treats; my definition of a pretty exciting party!

It wouldn’t be a party, though, if there weren’t great prizes up for grabs! We have some wonderful sponsors who’ve donated products for BBGU readers to win as part of Winter Wonderland.

I love a cool (50′s) day with a huge blue sky, peppered with big fluffy white clouds!

I’m okay with there being snow on the ground as long as it isn’t snowing. 30 degrees and sunny with a blanket of the white stuff works for me, though I don’t mind the 60 degree surprises we get regularly in my town!
My ideal winter weather is the 50s or 60s, and sunny or partly cloudy, except for Dec. 21 – Jan. 5 or so – then I like the temperature in the 20s, and big snowfalls.
Today was the perfect winter day here in Washington. It was 55 and Sunny which is a rare here.
My ideal winter weather would be snow that magically shoveled itself and never made the roads dangerous – and temperatures in the 50s with sunshine that magically did not melt the snow.
Realistically, though, I like the freezing New England weather we have okay so long as I don’t have to drive on icy roads and the power stays on!

My ideal weather is…. 54 degrees. Yes.. that specific.
OR.. if it’s gonna be cold.
Bury me in snow, let me stay home with my kids, make hot cocoa, bundle the kids up for snowmen and snow fairies!
I wanna be snowed in, or comfy enough to go out to the park without boiling!

I love snowy day with a fire and hot chocolate. Susan
Snow, no ice or wind with plenty of sunshine. Ideally lasts about a week lol

Now, I do not like snow. After too many years of getting snowed in for a week, I’m not a fan. It’s pretty to look at, but I’m not fond of dragging a toboggan full of firewood across the field to the house. UNFUN!
But this year, we have WACKY weather. This winter I finally gave in, packed up my snow hate, and told myself I was going to enjoy the snow, because my kids aren’t getting any younger.
And now? No snow! Today we had a picnic at the river!
This time last year, I would have said “Clear skies with weather in the 60s” this year, I kinda think some SNOW would be ideal. I even bought the kids a sled! *pout*
I commented on your outdoor fun post =)
My ideal winter weather is snow, but not too much that the kids don’t want to play. We got about two feet just before Christmas that was too much for my small children.
I already subscribe to because babies grow-up
Love this site!
My ideal winter weather includes temps in the 50s and blue skies…luckily, this happens a lot in CO. Araceli (my little one) likes when snow is falling because she can reach out and feel it on her hands.
Since I don’t have a facebook account, my husband, Ryan, became a fan of Because Babies Grow Up for me. Great team work, eh?!
I like it warm but husband’s ideal would be cold, cold, cold!!
I love the snow. As long as it’s snowing I don’t mind the cold
I love and am missing the quiet snowy days of CO but am really enjoying the 60′s and 70′s of AZ! I love that I can take my kids outside and let them burn off some energy!
I used to love winter but now that I have an energetic three year old, I long for warm weather, so my ideal winter weather is warm enough to play outside but not so hot that it’s miserable, and no rain clouds in sight! We live in Georgia and even though the weather has not been terribly cold or snowy lately, it has been gloomily wet and windy. We are feeling cabin fever and longing for the sunshine so we can play on that new swingset my daughter got for Christmas.
Commented on Yummy Popcorn post also.
also commented on your snowman craft post.
As you know, I’m not a huge fan of winter weather, but I think that’s largely because of the COLD! I like sunny winter days that aren’t any colder than minus 10 degrees Celsius, and with very little wind. I actually want to go outside on those days! LOL
50′s with no snow….i’m tired of snow and its 10 outside

My favorite winter weather is the unseasonable warm days.
hehe, but now that my son is old enough to play in the snow, I like the days where it is not so cold that it hurts your face when you play outside.
I added you to my blogroll!
My ideal winter weather day is any day we can play in the snow and it is not a wind chill of below zero!
