Look What We’re Doing!

We swapped a book through I Never Grew Up last year and it was super fun! I’m really excited to participate again this year. Hopefully Sammi and Elli can help me pick out a book to swap. Originally I thought it was to swap any book during the holidays. But I think the purpose is to swap a holiday-themed book. I’ll be more with it this year

Last year we got the cute book A Firefly in a Fir Tree by Hilary Knight from a lady and her daughter in Massachusetts. Sammi just loved it and I’m excited to pull it back out for the holidays this year.

My mother and son book arrived today! It is beautiful! How did you know to have it come on my birthday?

I struggled a lot with trying to get that book in the mail. I guess what I thought were obstacles were really just ensuring you got the book on your birthday! Happy Birthday, belated

What do I Do Now?

One day I was nursing my newborn daughter. Her eyes were closed and she was settling in for sleep as she filled her tummy. I was excitedly anticipating her nap so I could rest my own eyes as well. When she finished eating I put her in her bed, as usual. Before I even made it across the room, I heard her little voice cooing and giggling in a very awake, alert kind of way. I picked her up and tried to rock her back to sleep but to no avail. She was awake and I wondered, "What do I do with her now?" So I present you with a collection of activities to fill those awake times because babies grow up!
