The houses look great!
We make gingerbread houses with friends for Christmas, and the sugar high from them is enough to last us all year (I always end up queasy from smelling icing sugar all night! lol), so we don't do Halloween houses, but I love the idea!

I think that's a great idea, Kristin! Sammi is way too obsessed with the candy. I can't leave ANY where she can reach it or she just eats, eats, eats. She would love to find a piece of candy everyday!

My sister in law got a really cool idea (I think from Family Fun magazine) that everyday between Halloween and Thanksgiving, you send the kids on a short scavenger hunt where they find some of the candy hidden. For little kids you can use pictures of places around the house. That way they spread out the sugar and the fun lasts longer. I think it's a great idea and I'm going to try it.
