Happy Halloween!
Here’s one last Halloween craft you can do with all that candy you’ll get Trick-or-Treating!
We have enjoyed Make and Takes Monster Mania eBook. It is full of fun ideas that inspire creativity and problem solving skills. I love the projects because most of them use things I have on hand anyway. It makes it easy to pick and project and do it right away. For the Spooky Monster House, though, I spent some time preparing. I thought the prepping was half the fun and definitely worth it. I used the frosting recipe I found here.

My sister in law got a really cool idea (I think from Family Fun magazine) that everyday between Halloween and Thanksgiving, you send the kids on a short scavenger hunt where they find some of the candy hidden. For little kids you can use pictures of places around the house. That way they spread out the sugar and the fun lasts longer. I think it’s a great idea and I’m going to try it.
I think that’s a great idea, Kristin! Sammi is way too obsessed with the candy. I can’t leave ANY where she can reach it or she just eats, eats, eats. She would love to find a piece of candy everyday!
The houses look great!
We make gingerbread houses with friends for Christmas, and the sugar high from them is enough to last us all year (I always end up queasy from smelling icing sugar all night! lol), so we don’t do Halloween houses, but I love the idea!
I am very glad to see that you are putting so much of effort for encouraging the visitors with valueable posts like this, I have sent this post to my twitter account profile.
