Eight and a Half with the Biggest Loser
This week felt like the last few and I was worried that the results at the weigh in would be minuscule like the last few weeks have been. I keep having new resolves and great intentions for exercising and eating better, but after a few days the resolve fades away. So imagine my joy when I stepped on the scale and had lost 1.5 pounds! Yippeeeee!! That brings my total weight loss to eight and a half pounds. I’m grateful for such supportive friends and wonderful husband who remind me of my goals and help me have a lot of fun along the way.
This weekend has been a fun one so far. While watching Psych on Friday, a friend convinced me to exercise and to rest on the commercials. On the commercials! I though you were supposed to exercise during the commercials and rest during the show. It lasted for two between commercials and then I was too distracted by the show to keep going. I think I will try it during non-Psych and Monk and Numbers shows. Probably not during So You Think You Can Dance or The Biggest Loser either. Well, maybe The Biggest Loser. And if there are any other shows (hehehe) I will exercise between commercials and rest during commercials.
Then on Saturday while Brent studied we headed to Knoxville for a little shopping at the Oriental Market. We also stopped by the mall to do a little shopping and play in the awesome play area. While there my friend (same friend who worked me between commercials) reminded me we wanted to do Build-A-Bear with Sammi and Elli for their birthdays from Grandpa Knowlton and Grandma Kim. Sammi loved it and Elli was close to falling asleep but she approved the bear and the outfit. Sammi chose a ballerina outfit for her bear, whom she named Sammi Bear. I named Elli’s bear without her approval, but I’ll have to save that story for another post. So, after getting a nap in the car on the way home, Sammi wasn’t really tired when Elli was ready for bed. So after our company left and Bren went off to study, Sammi and I stole away to the downstairs where she donned my ballerina slippers and we danced and danced and danced. We danced like butterflies and frogs and monsters and goats. It is one of the happiest moments we have had together in the last little while and I am still cherishing how much fun we had.
